Downtown Toronto – Walkabout
~ big city Canada. i’m happy to be here and i wonder how long it will take before the novelty wears off and i become part of the metropolitan fabric ~
Martindale Pond – Garden in the Fog
~ capturing the family’s decaying garden during a sombre day of fog and haze. birds and winds stayed silent as i walked in the rolling mist ~

Martindale Pond – Port Dalhousie

~ i am fortunate enough to live in a city with four distinct seasons and a wide variety of scenery. it’s amazing to find vibrant colour and life still struggling to bloom, perhaps not aware of the time of year ~
View of Toronto – CN Tower

~ taking a day to be a tourist in Toronto included the Sky Pod – the highest observation deck in the world ~

Marshland & Waterfall – Bruce Trail
~ with the temperature dropping so fast, the water was pooling and flowing in all areas of the forest. jumping through mud pits was worth the effort to get these colours and textures ~
Farmer’s Fields – Lincoln County
~ winter wind storms and explosive sunshine were the themes of the day. clutching my coat close to my face as my camera was fumbled by my free hand actually turned out some amazing snaps ~

Winterland Valley Path – Lincoln County
~ hiking in the valley behind my dad’s house, we are framed by frozen woods and dormant grasses. the crunch of our boots in the snow is all we hear. it was a challenge to find any colour in this scene, but when i did it was a reward to my eye ~
